Premio Nobel de la Paz - 2010
To the members of the Norwegian Nobel Committee:
On behalf of the citizens of Argentina we address you to convey our OPPOSITION to the nomination of the Argentinian civil society Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo for the Peace Nobel Prize. Being one of the many citizens of our country that suffered the consequences of ideological terrorists during the last 50 years that ravaged our country, we would like to participate in the selection process since we believe that granting the prize to these hatred grandmothers, the Nobel Committee will ignore the efforts of the hundreds of thousands who fight for the highest human values.
As many other latinamerican countries, the argentine citizens have suffered the violent and terrible consequences of Cuban terrorism repeatedly implanted in our country in the twentieth century culminating on May 25, 2003, when Kirchner Cartel assumed political control of the country and installed one of the most brutal and perverse dictatorships of the recent history of our nation.
Upon the illegitimate power of Cuban and Venezuelan ideology, supported by powerful national and international economic groups, and counting on the support of influential governments, they carried through a systematic and general plan to impoverish the country benefiting only those sectors that help them to gain power and are thus accomplices of so much tragedy. And to complete their programme they did not hesitate and launched a massacre of terrible proportions killing thousands of inocent children through abortion.
The so called Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo is a group of people who started a silent plea for revenge for killed terrorists. Many of them were mothers of political prisoners or persons that had disappeared. Their fight continued and was strengthened with the return of democratic institutions on December 10, 1983, and slowly gained the political support of the government. Later, the Civil Society Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo was created to search for children born during war and given to loving adoptive parents. Supported willingly by government and counting on the help of some political institutions, they were able to return their past to almost a hundred young victims who tried to forget the past and these hatred grandmas turned their life into hell. And they are fighting for more revenge.
For more than 10 years now, the Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo have fought to distort the truth and memory of a society submitted to state political violence for decades. And their work was done with a degree of HATE, REVENGE and VIOLENCE that overwhelms their fellow citizens. They never suggested PEACE, they were always zealously disrespectful of legal mechanisms and institutions and, above all, despite being hatred grandmothers, they always lose the patience and wisdom necessary to keep their faith and hope in the human condition.
For all these reasons, the citizens of Argentina wish to express our most profound OPPOSITION to the Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo as candidates to the Peace Nobel Prize.
